Such a wonderful trip and yet, a very sad one all in the same. I traveled back to Rhode Island this past summer for a funeral of a very dear friend of mine - D. This was the furthest east I have been and just fell head over heals for the east coast. I took a red eye flight from Salt Lake and arrived Providence at 9:30 with plenty of time to spare, as the funeral was at 11:00. The service was beautiful and D's burial spot is only a view I dream of having someday.
I spent a few days exploring the sites of Rhode Island, Conneticuit, Massachusetts, and a glimpse of New York. I have to say, flying into Newark airport at the break of dawn as the sun was rising over the Statue of Liberty was simply amazing.

I regret not taking more pictures or seeing more historical sites - although, my trip was not that of a tourist.
